The European Union could “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it deems “unjustified” visa bans issued by the US against five European individuals working on fighting online hate and disinformation, a European Commission spokesperson stated.

EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

European leaders such as the French president accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans targeted individuals who have been at the heart of efforts to enact legislation regulating US-based technology firms.
